Job Description
We are working closely alongside with London Borough of Towerhamlets to assist with the appointment of a Youth Support Worker on a 1-month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 18.60 - 24.50 per hour
Summary:
The Youth Support Worker will deliver and develop youth work sessions within the Universal Safe Spaces programme a key part of the Young Tower Hamlets initiative.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain positive voluntary relationships with young people.
- Deliver one-to-one and group sessions supporting young peoples holistic development.
- Empower young people to understand risks and make informed decisions.
- Refer or signpost young people to relevant services based on identified needs.
- Plan deliver and evaluate centre-based and off-site youth activities including residentials.
Qualifications:
- Level 2 Youth Work Qualification or willingness to obtain during probation period.
Essentials:
- Proven experience engaging young people individually or in group settings.
- Experience planning and delivering activities to support youth development.
- Experience of partnership working with services for young people.
Please note:
- You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
- You should have right to work in U.K
- This role requires an Enhanced DBS
