Description

Position:
Visiting Assistant Professor.

Education: Doctorate

Job Duties: Teaching naturopathic medical students and other degree program students. Primary teaching responsibilities include teaching biochemistry in an integrated naturopathic medical school curriculum and teaching macronutrients and micronutrients in nutrition based curricula.

Qualifications

Experience: Candidate must have experience teaching human medical biochemistry to naturopathic medical students in an integrated body systems based curriculum. The candidate should also have significant experience preparing naturopathic medical students for the NPLEX I examination. Further the candidate must have experience teaching human nutrition courses especially macronutrients and micronutrients.

Skills and Knowledge:
Demonstrated excellence in teaching. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Candidate must also be fluent in the Canvas learning management system. Clinical expertise for correlations to foundational basic science knowledge is highly desirable.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience with problem-based learning team-based learning and case-based learning. Knowledge and experience with flipped classroom design and technology-assisted learning desirable.
