The opportunity

Within EY-Parthenons Strategy and Execution sub service line our Software Strategy Group provides top-tier investment and acquisition guidance strategy and transaction advisory for the software sector. Every year we help hundreds of software companies and investors make crucial business decisions. On every engagement you will work alongside our team of former CTOs and CEOs with deep software expertise to learn from the best.

Your key responsibilities

As a Senior Associate-Consultant with EY-Parthenons Strategy and Execution Software Strategy Group you will be responsible for leading workstreams and engagements directly translating client needs into project tasks and deliverables. You will manage problem-solving and be the power behind the teams analytical activities serving as the key liaison between the engagement team senior leaders and our clients.

Skills and attributes for success

• Develop business strategies using tools such as financial analysis customer research forecasting and portfolio optimization.
• Analyze transaction rationale and prospective deal documents to identify critical business issues and risks relating to a proposed transaction.
• Manage workstreams and break down complex problems into manageable tasks for the team to contribute to solving together as a group.
• Motivate teams with diverse skills and backgrounds.
• Develop manage and mentor junior team members.

To qualify for the role you must have

• Outstanding academic performance with a bachelors degree and at least 2 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 18 months of related work experience.
• Ability to make detailed assessments of industry products markets competitors and customers to identify risks and opportunities.
• Proficient in the English language including the ability to listen understand read and communicate effectively both in writing and verbally in a professional environment.
• Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines.
• The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.

Other requirements

• Our SSG team members are in the office 3 days a week.

Ideally youll also have

• MBA or related graduate degree with at least 18 months of post-graduate-school related work experience in a consulting firm preferably with technology-oriented clients or experience in a software or technology company in a product or R&D-focused role.
• Expertise in one or more software sectors (ERP CRM Digital Media Mobile etc.).
• Excellent problem solving project management facilitation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of how to leverage AI tools in a business setting including Microsoft Copilot.
