The opportunity
Join our dynamic Banking Technology team where we help financial institutions transform through data-driven insights and digital innovation. As a Data Analyst you will play a key role in delivering actionable intelligence to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency across banking platforms.
Your key responsibilities
- Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and Tableau to visualize complex banking data.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
- Perform data wrangling cleansing and transformation using SQL and other tools to ensure data quality and consistency.
- Analyze trends in customer behavior risk and operational performance to support business cases and regulatory reporting.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including technology compliance and product to deliver insights that drive innovation in banking services.
- Support data governance and metadata management initiatives in alignment with enterprise standards.
- Document data models KPIs and reporting logic to ensure transparency and reusability.
To qualify for the role you must have
- Bachelors degree in Data Science Computer Science Finance or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role with a financial services focus.
- Proficiency in Power BI and Tableau with a strong portfolio of dashboards and visualizations.
- Solid understanding of banking operations including retail commercial or digital banking.
- Experience working with large datasets and relational databases (e.g. SQL Server Azure Synapse Oracle).
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with data governance tools (e.g. IBM Knowledge Catalog Azure purview) is a plus.
- Agile and collaborative approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
Ideally youll also have
- 3 years of experience in data analytics or business intelligence preferably within the financial services sector.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g. Azure AWS) is an asset.
