Key Accountabilities
- Oversee the development and maintenance of all financial models and presentation materials associated with the Vistra development pipeline which will require interfacing with groups across the entire Vistra organization as well as senior leadership
- Responsible for providing pricing and returns analysis and sensitivities related to marketing efforts for the Vistra development pipeline
- Lead scenario analyses around offtake opportunities capital structure sensitivities acquisition opportunities optimizing site design etc.
- Support financing initiatives for the Vistra development pipeline such as traditional project finance with banks or state or federal loan opportunities. This would include being responsible for financial models and overseeing data collection to support due diligence efforts
- Prepare materials / presentations to present Vistra investment opportunities to leadership
- Strong upward communication skills and ability to provide guidance and development to direct report is required
- Support strategic initiatives within the company such as new market entry new technology assessments or regulatory impacts and initiatives
- Strong financial modeling skills in Excel and be proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint
- Strong understanding of power markets and renewable energy is preferable
Education Experience & Skill Requirements
- 7-10 years of experience in corporate finance investment banking FP&A or related fields
- Knowledge of the energy industry (power and gas) and renewables and energy storage development
- Highly motivated individual with achievements in professional academic and extracurricular activities
- Energetic intellectually curious strong analytical reasoning and organizational skills detail-oriented self-starter
- Strong writing skills and expertise at summarizing quantitative data and strategic considerations in charts and graphics in Microsoft PowerPoint
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills and collaborative work approach from peer level up to executives
- Adapts well to change and meets commitments in a deadline-driven environment with multiple competing priorities
