Job Description

The Company

Civmec is an Australian-owned integrated multidisciplinary heavy engineering and construction services provider to the energy resources infrastructure marine and defence sectors. The Role

Civmec is excited to announce that we have been awarded a Concrete and Field Erect Tanks Package which is a civil scope of works that will kick off in May 2025 with project completion scheduled for early 2026. The scope includes excavating formworks reinforcement final trim and back fill.
This project is based in the Mid-Western Region W.A and offers a 2:1 roster to all personnel offering better work-life balance to our employees. Transportation to and from site is provided from Perth Airport.

Duties include:

  • Read and interpret working plans and steel lists
  • Steel erection
  • Resize steel bars or mesh to the required length using bolt cutters guillotines and power saws
  • Assemble the reinforcing bars or mesh by welding wiring or clipping into predetermined locations within the concrete
  • Fabricate steel reinforcement as beams footing pads or special units
  • Join the prefabricated units together and position the reinforcement ready for concrete pours
  • Clean up wire-ties
  • Assist with concrete placement
  • Perform other general duties to suit operational requirements as directed
  • Maintain company standards for Quality Assurance purposes
  • Present neat documentation correspondence and records as requested
  • Provide accurate daily weekly and monthly reports as required

About You

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

  • 2 years Industrial experience in steel fixing
  • Previous construction experience withinmining and resources (preferable)
  • High Risk work licence with EWP (WP) over 11 meters
  • Valid Working at Heights (desirable)
  • Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness card (White Card)
