Help Shape the Future for Aboriginal Women and Youth
Are you passionate about working with Aboriginal women and young people to strengthen culture leadership and connection to Country Join the Northern Land Council (NLC) and play a key role in supporting women youth and families across South East Arnhem Land to achieve their goals and protect their homelands for generations to come.
About the Role
This role focuses on supporting the Yugul Mangi and Numbulwar ranger groups to strengthen the involvement of women and young people in land and sea management. As the Women & Youth Coordinator you will help organise cultural and land management activities for women and young people. Your role supports Aboriginal people to strengthen culture gain skills and develop leadership opportunities on Country. You will work closely with Traditional Owners elders rangers youth and partner organisations.
What you will bring:
The successful candidate will be someone who is experienced and deeply committed to supporting Aboriginal communities especially women and youth to build strong futures. You will have a background in delivering culturally appropriate land management activities and previous experience empowering women and youth with leadership training and employment pathways. Your proven ability to work independently problem-solve and engage respectfully with community leaders elders and families will allow you to thrive in this role.

We offer
A base salary of $84985 per annum plus 15% superannuation and salary sacrificing up to $15900 meal entertainment and holiday accommodation benefits up to $2650 per year.

About the NLC
The Northern Land Council (NLC) is an independent statutory authority of the Commonwealth. The NLC is established under the Aboriginal Land Rights Act (NT) 1976 and its purpose is to serve its constituents who are Traditional Owners (TOs) and other Aboriginal people living in their region. Cultural knowledge and lived experience are central to the work that we do here at NLC. We are committed to enhancing Aboriginal peoples social political and economic participation by supporting their aspirations and amplifying their voices on a range of issues impacting on their lands seas culture and communities.
