TheSenior Claims Examiner Auto Bodily Injury is responsible for the investigation evaluation and resolution of commercial automobile claims involving bodily injuries. Within the Arch Auto Claims Center we are expanding the in house handling operation to provide a heavy focus on enhancing the customer experience while eliminating traditional claim inefficiencies. By enhancing data analytics critical trend analysis and efficient technology interactions claims adjusting evolves from day to day and provides our partners with a better understanding of risk and exposure. The ideal candidate is both customer and technically focused to ensure we are achieving industry best outcomes all while delivery top level service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate evaluate and resolve commercial auto and trucking claims nationwide.
- Maintain a diary of all claims post reserves in a timely fashion and expeditiously respond to inquiries from the insured counsel underwriters brokers and senior management regarding claims while adhering to Archs handling guidelines.
- Prepare and present written/oral reports to senior management setting forth all issues influencing evaluation and recommending reserves.
- Lead and negotiate high severity claims through resolution.
- Evaluate and assess exposure trends and impacts both at an individual claim level and across the auto business.
- Identify and assess coverage issues draft coverage position letters and retain coverage counsel when necessary as well as review coverage counsels opinion letters and analysis.
- Maintain an inventory of both injury and physical damage claims.
- Drive results on claims with a high complexity of coverage analysis investigation damage assessment and other relevant technical areas.
- Execute on claims strategies to achieve claims quality customer service and operational objectives
- Serve as a mentor to less-experienced claims professionals.
- Provide training on current and new processes when needed.
- Support the strategy and operations of the Auto Center through other assignments as required.
- Assists in industry analysis and benchmarking studies.
- Travel to and from locations within the United States to attend mediations trials and other proceedings relevant to the resolution of the matter.
Qualifications
- 7-10 years of working experienceat a commercial auto carrier handling bodily injury claims nationally.
- Proper adjuster licensing in all applicable states especially Texas Florida California as well as many others.
- Exceptional communication (written and verbal) evaluating influencing negotiating listening and interpersonal skills to effectively develop productive working relationships with internal/external stakeholders and other professionals
- Claims litigation experience required.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Creative out of the box thinker who refuses to accept the status quo.
- Ability to take part in active strategic discussions
- Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
- Hands-on experience and strong aptitude with Microsoft Excel PowerPoint and Word
- Willing and able to travel 10%

For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.
For Alpharetta Florida Texas: $83600 - $135000/year
For Chicago Hartford: $97100 - $145000/year
For NYC Jersey City Long Island Morristown: $107900 - $155000/year
Total individual compensation (base salary short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location scope & responsibilities of the role qualifications talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
