Construction Safety Specialist
Tampa FL
Full-Time/Direct hire
Seeking a Construction Safety Specialist to ensure compliance with OSHA federal state and internal safety standards across active construction sites. This role includes conducting site audits safety training accident investigations equipment tracking and maintaining a strong safety culture on-site.
Key Responsibilities:-
Conduct regular construction site safety audits and enforce best practices.

Deliver site-specific safety orientations and annual refresher training.

Communicate and implement updated safety regulations and procedures.

Investigate incidents; document findings and corrective actions.

Schedule and track pre-employment and annual physicals.

Manage and maintain safety equipment (e.g. fall protection gas monitors).

Lead and document toolbox talks and safety meetings.
-
Maintain up-to-date safety training records (digital and paper).

Willingness to travel overnight (up to 20%).

Clean driving record; ability to work on remote job sites.

Comfortable working at heights in confined spaces and on scaffolding.

Familiarity with construction environments and job site hazards.

Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office safety tracking systems).

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Highly organized and self-motivated.

Safety certification (CHST CSP or Occupational Safety degree).

3 5 years of experience in construction safety.
-
OSHA 30-Hour (Construction) required.

MSHA Part 46 preferred (if working near mining-related projects).
