Job description
Knowledge of EHS function of a Chemical manufacturing company EHS compliance EHS documentation process safety activities
monitoring ETP and waste management training & development activities compiling monthly MIS and reporting etc.
Responsibilities:
ENVIRONMENT:
- Operation of Effluent Treatment Plant.
- Issue resolves of effluent treatment plant.
- Monitoring of process boiler DG stacks and ambient air quality.
- Disposal of hazardous waste and Timely submission of filings under statutory environmental requirements form 10 and form 3.
- Implementation of the correct disposal practices of all wastes in the Factory.
- Maintaining proper communication with Hazardous waste vendor for proper transport and final disposal.
- Hazardous Waste Returns (Form-4 Environmental Statements (Form-5 etc.
- Prepare the consent compliance report.
- Disposal of Hazardous Wastes as per the HW Rules 2016.
- Celebration of World Environment Day.
- Monitoring ambient air quality.
HEALTH:
- Ensuring First Aid boxes are available at designated places and are stocked with the prescribed items & medical emergencies are promptly attended & Co- ordinating with HR for the conduct of yearly health check- up of all employees
- To carry out medical examination of employees and maintain health register in Form 7.
- Maintain drinking water quality by regular testing.
- To carry out various health awareness programmes for employees.
SAFETY:
- Implementation of Permit to Work System.
- Investigation of incidents and identification and monitoring implementation of
Corrective and Preventive Action and updating in the system.
To carry out internal safety audit / walk through audit at regular intervals.
- Maintain firefighting equipments fire alarm system and fire hydrant system.
- On Site Emergency Plan & its implementation by conducting mock drills and regular trainings.
- Preparing/updating SOP for EHS operation and providing input for HAZOP and HIRA as required.
- To carry out workplace monitoring.
- Conduct various training to company and contract employees to improve SAFETY PERFORMANCE.
- To carry out Site Safety Committee meeting as per MFR 73-J.
- Compliance to the Safety Health and Environment Policy as per MFR 73-L.
- Maintain Material Safety Data Sheet of all raw & finished materials.
- Maintain the inspection book in Form 31.
- Enhance Safety performance by various safety promotional activities.
- Celebration of National Safety Day /week.
- To advise and assist the management in the fulfillment of statutory requirements.
- Timely up-dation of all compliances in legal matrix system.
- Daily toolbox and trainings records as per calendar
- Finding risk reduction projects and follow for its compliance.
- Monthly preparation of EHS reports
- Form B audit with vendor and maintain the same.
- Maintain form 8 for whitewash.
- Carry out safety committee meetings on regular frequency.
- Ensuring daily sanitization in unit
- Regular follow up for recorded unsafe act and condition closure.
- Firefighting equipment weekly inspection as per the check list.
- JSA carried out critical operations.
- Contract Labour Physical check weight check KYC check Health check Employment details form check.
- Contract Labour Induction PPE Chemicals Hazards & Risks Toolbox training Safety training work permit training.
Qualification
B. Sc. (Chemistry) /M Sc. with Advance Diploma in Industrial Safety from MSBTE and with 2-3 years experience in EHS functions in chemical industry. Need to stay in Khopoli city.
Compensation: Commensurate with relevant experience and knowledge.
Experience
- Minimum of 2-3 years comparable work experience in EHS function in Chemical industries.
- Age Limit: 30 - 40 (optional).
