07/01Provo City is seeking a part-time technician to work in the Basement Creative Lab at the Provo City Library. This position includes assisting patrons with troubleshooting and use of media production equipment. What is the compensation
$16.00 per will be by direct deposit.

What are the main duties
Check in and out media production equipment.
Assist with troubleshooting Creative Lab equipment.
Assist in scheduling studio sessions.
Supervise patrons while studio space is in use.
Teach basic classes with a variety of video and audio recording equipment including cameras microphones and lights.
Create videos for library marketing.
Perform light cleaning and other job-related duties as required.
What do I need to apply
High school diploma or GED.
Some experience in working with audiovisual equipment.
Computer skills (such as experience with MS Office and basic video and audio editing software) are necessary.
Valid lawful driver license
Preference may be given to applicants with some college and/or experience working in a media lab or in media production.
What are the hours
20-25 hours per week mostly afternoons and evenings Monday through Friday and during the day on Saturday.
What are the physical and environmental factors
This work requires remaining seated at a computer for extended periods standing bending stooping reaching moderate lifting and other physical demands associated with special events and working with the events may include exposure to stressful situations.
What is the selection process
Applications will be reviewed in the order they are submitted with the first screening being held on July 2 2025. Applicants mustmeet the minimum qualifications listed above to be eligible for consideration.
If selected for hire candidate will be required to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal. Applicants with unsatisfactory drug screen results will be ineligible for appointment or application to any Provo City position for a minimum period of six (6) months.
