We are looking for an Administrative Specialist 1 to join our dedicated APD Team in Beaverton.

Summary of Duties
As an Administrative Specialist 1 you will:
Provide administrative support to all supervisors and managers ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
Coordinate and oversee support staff workflows assigning tasks to ensure well-trained backup is always available.
Maintain deep knowledge of support staff roles offering training feedback and occasional backup assistance as needed.
Develop and implement customer service goals and procedures shaping internal forms workflows and controls.
Monitor and enhance customer service performance addressing inquiries complaints and assisting Oregonians with system-related challenges.
Lead and facilitate team discussions meetings and training sessions fostering a collaborative and well-informed support staff.
Oversee and track financial instruments including Oregon Trail cards SPOTS VISA parking permits and cash receipts ensuring proper handling and accountability.
Minimum Qualifications
Two years of secretarial or basic administrative support experience that includes records processing generating documents and gathering and sorting data; OR
An associate degree in general office occupations and one year of experience with records processing generating documents and gathering and sorting data; OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Essential Attributes
We are looking for candidates with:
Demonstrated ability to independently assess situations and determine appropriate courses of action.
Experience in navigating specialized programs operations and applicable policies and procedures that impact assigned tasks.
Experience using tools to manage conflicting deadlines and prioritize work.
Experience collecting organizing and reporting data in both a narrative and statistical formats.

Working Conditions
Work Locations: Aging and People with Disabilities (APD) Office in Beaverton homes of participants and community sites.
Travel: Occasional travel for meetings trainings and other case related activities.
Regular Business Hours: MondayFriday 8:00 AM5:00 PM.
You may interact with individuals who have experienced trauma and may have difficulty managing their emotions.
Be prepared for stressful situations that require quick decision-making to ensure safety for yourself and others.

The Oregon Department of Human Services does not offer visa sponsorship.
