Job Summary:

Job Description:

• Preparing and processing tissue specimens: logging embedding cutting staining and cover slipping for Pathologist review.

• Assisting Pathologists with gross specimen examinations and frozen sections.

• Performing routine special and immunohistochemical stains.

• Maintaining equipment departmental logs quality control records and safety standards.

• Supporting the cytology department with GYN specimen processing.

• 2 years of Histology experiencein a clinical or hospital setting preferred.

• Certification as aHistotechnologist (HTL)orHistotechnician(HT)preferred at hire (required within 2 years).

• Familiarity with CAP accreditation standards and modern lab workflows

• A demonstrated ability to work independently and mentor less experienced staff.
