Heres what youll be doing:
Preparing and processing tissue specimens: logging embedding cutting staining and cover slipping for Pathologist review.
Assisting Pathologists with gross specimen examinations and frozen sections.
Performing routine special and immunohistochemical stains.
Maintaining equipment departmental logs quality control records and safety standards.
Supporting the cytology department with GYN specimen processing.
What Were Looking For
2 years of Histology experiencein a clinical or hospital setting preferred.
Certification as aHistotechnologist (HTL)orHistotechnician(HT)preferred at hire (required within 2 years).
Familiarity with CAP accreditation standards and modern lab workflows
A demonstrated ability to work independently and mentor less experienced staff.
