Position Summary:
Reportingto the Executive Director of Development (Schools) with dotted-line reporting to the Dean of the School of Architecture the Director of Development Architecture will co-create manage and execute fundraising strategy to increase philanthropic investment at the School of Architecture and will manage the advisory board consisting of the schools top prospects and donors. This role will actively engage all school constituentsincluding faculty students alumni and parentsand requires an understanding of the schools mission priorities traditions and programs as well as its history and future. The Director of Development Architecture will work closely with Development and Alumni Relations in aligning school-based priorities with those of institutional leadership and will interact with staff and faculty in the school as well as with other colleagues throughout Rice University. This position will work dually within the School of Architecture and Development and Alumni Relations to maximize Rice Architectures development potential and engagement of the schools prospect pipelinewith a specific focus on gifts at the $100K to $4.9M the chief development officer for the school the Director of Development Architecture will manage a portfolio of 80-100 prospects with a capacity of $100000 to identify cultivate solicit and steward donors to the school and will focus on fundraising priorities set bythe Dean.

Workplace Requirements:
This position is offered as an in-person on-site role on the Rice University campus and occasional evenings weekends off-site meetings and out-of-town travel are required to achieve maximum stakeholder Rice policy 440 work arrangements may be subject to change.
Must possess(or have the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire) and maintain a valid Texas drivers license with no more than three moving violations and/or at fault accidents within the past 36 months and no convictions or deferred dispositions for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) or Driving Under the Influence (DUI) within the past five years.
