Job Description

Brief Overview of Position:

Strategic Operational Solutions (STOPSO) is seeking candidates for a Senior Security Analyst/Audit Liaison to support a Department of Homeland Security client. STOPSO is ISO 9001 ISO 20000-1 ISO 27001 certified and CMMI-SVC Level 2 appraised IT Services and Solutions company. We look for talented people to join our Team to develop and deliver solutions. The person will fill a vital role within an organization particularly within federal programs where the emphasis lies on ensuring compliance transparency and efficiency in financial processes. This position is responsible for serving as the primary point of contact between the organization and external auditors. The Audit Liaison Specialist facilitates communication coordinates audit activities and ensures that all audit requirements are met promptly and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors. Coordinate audit schedules access to documents and meetings between auditors and internal staff.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain and organize all audit-related documentation ensuring that records are complete accurate and readily accessible. Assist in preparing responses to audit queries and requests for information.
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations policies and procedures. Continuously monitor compliance within federal programs and advise on best practices to mitigate risks.
  • Communication Facilitation: Function as a liaison to facilitate effective communication between auditors and various departmental teams. Clarify audit requirements and provide guidance to staff on how to meet those expectations.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify areas of potential risk and work proactively to address issues before they escalate. Collaborate with internal teams to implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to employees on audit processes compliance standards and documentation practices. Foster an environment of continuous improvement and education.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Compile and analyze audit findings developing comprehensive reports for senior management. Recommend actionable insights to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in accounting finance business administration or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g. CPA CIA) are highly desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in audit coordination compliance or a related field. Previous experience within federal programs or government agencies is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Proficiency in audit software and database management systems.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of federal regulations auditing standards and compliance requirements. Familiarity with government accounting practices and procedures.
  • Attributes: Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy. Ability to multitask and work under pressure. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be a U.S Citizen with an active secret clearance.
