Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled research assistant to support in advancing motion planning methodologies for robotic manipulators. This role is integral to the Casualty Manipulation Project which focuses on developing intelligent robotic systems capable of safely and effectively interacting with human subjects in critical environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the research and development of advanced motion planning algorithms including but not limited to Rapidly-exploring Random Trees (RRT) and Probabilistic Roadmaps (PRM).
Customize and implement motion planning solutions specifically for robotic manipulator platforms.
Support simulation and experimental validation of motion planning approaches.
Contribute to data analysis documentation and preparation of technical reports and publications.
Collaborate with other team members in a multidisciplinary research environment.

In compliance with the New Jersey Wage Transparency Act the bi-weekly base range for this position is $26.85 -$26.85. This range represents the Universitys good faith estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. Stevens Institute of Technology determines compensation based on factors including the positions scope and responsibilities the candidates experience education skills internal equity market data and organizational considerations. The final salary will be set considering departmental budget qualifications and relevant credentials. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes additional forms of compensation such as incentives stipends or other applicable pay components.
