Job Description

Marketing Intern

Location: Norcross
Working hours:

DEUTZ is one of the worlds leading manufacturers of innovative drive systems. Its core competences are the development production distribution and servicing of diesel gas and electric drivetrains for professional applications that is used in construction equipment agricultural machinery material handling equipment stationary equipment commercial vehicles rail vehicles and other applications.

Job Summary

The Marketing Intern will assist our DEUTZ Marketing Department by applying acquired knowledge from advanced Marketing college courses. The Marketing Intern will also apply best practices and strategies while being responsible for providing deliverables compliant with our corporate branding guidelines and essential for helping to advance sales. This position will liaise with the Marketing Director Marketing Project Manager Chief Sales Officer DEUTZ Power Center personnel and other departments. Additionally this role will assist in organizing trade shows and other significant events. This internship is intended to provide functional experience to someone that will utilize it as part of a progression toward their intended career path. Time spent by the marketing intern isnt to exceed thirty hours per week or last for longer than six months.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Marketing Intern will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties:

  • Assist with creating assets needed for social media posts DEUTZ websites (DEUTZ Corporation and DPC website) and promotional point-of-sale materials such as signage and product brochures.
  • Play a substantial role in the DEUTZ Corporation social media strategy by creating a social media calendar including daily recommendations and suggested post frequencies.
  • Provide monthly metrics and trends for each social media platform DEUTZ Corporation participates in.
  • Support DEUTZ Power Center branding guidelines by assisting with service truck graphic approvals and other DEUTZ Power Center point of sale materials.
  • Provide daily assistance by forwarding sales leads to the correct sales channels and people.
  • Assist with trade shows by handling logistics for both DEUTZ products and people and maintaining established branding guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Currently pursuing a degree related to graphic design or marketing

Basic knowledge of marketing best practices

Strong graphic design experience

High competency level in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign

Competent with Microsoft Office especially Outlook Word and Excel

Strong customer-focused work ethic

ADDITIONAL REQUIRED SKILLS:

LANGUAGE ABILITY:

Read analyze and interpret business professional technical or governmental documents. Write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals. Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers customers and the public.

MATHEMATICAL ABILITY:

Work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Apply concepts such as fractions percentages ratios and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY:

Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form.
