Job Description

Were on a journey to build something new! The Amazon Autos team is building new discovery and shopping products that connect customers with their new vehicle of choice. Were developing new customer experiences and seller tools to support the entire vehicle discovery journey.

We are seeking a Sr. Program Manager Release Management to sit within our Operations Team to be responsible for testing and launching new customer and dealer-facing features. This role requires the ability to work cross-functionally across workstreams and owns operationalization plans of new features. You will help own launch plans and drive operational excellence at scale.

You will drive operational readiness for seller and partner teams create acceptance criteria track performance and ensure deliverables are being met to drive feature releases. Success in this role is helping stakeholders inclusive of sellers be ready for feature releases.

This role will work directly with key stakeholders including sellers technical program managers product teams and senior leadership to ensure features meet dealership acceptance criteria so that they can provide great purchase experience for our customers.

Key job responsibilities
* Launch Planning: Collaborate with Product Managers Seller Experience and Tech teams to identify tech and operational requirements determine training needs and establish acceptance criteria. Manage release rollout downstream and launch progression to scale feature sets to new sellers over time.
* Operations Readiness: Manage cross-functional release timelines ensuring timely communication with internal and external partners. Develop operations readiness success criteria. Partner to develop comprehensive feature launch plans including training and communications.
* Analyze Results: Build data-based mechanisms around feedback survey results and metrics captured during rollout. Flag issues to internal teams and product owners while seeking customer-centric solutions to problems.
* Program Management: Manage complex workback plans and leadership facing status updates. Improve release mechanisms to scale.
* Seller Requirements: Work with key stakeholders to understand seller pain points and requirements for launch. Identify risks and develop mitigation plans for seller teams.
* Prioritization: Engage with internal stakeholders to understand business priorities manage multiple projects concurrently and drive cross-team initiatives. Influence the product roadmap.

A day in the life
This role will play a critical part in ensuring both dealerships and our internal teams are prepared for new features to be released. They will manage insight dashboards which provide feedback on feature performance and program manage all aspects of seller readiness for new features. They will work with communications teams throughout the feature release lifecycle to ensure dealerships and customers are informed of updates while flagging any known issues to product teams.

About the team
We are a newly formed team with a vision to create innovative discovery and shopping experiences on Amazon providing customers better convenience and more selection. Were collaborating with other experienced teams at Amazon to define the future of how customers research and shop for products in the complex automotive space. This role is part of the Amazon Autos team.

- 5 years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy end to end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership
- 2 years release or launch management experience

- 2 years of driving process improvements experience
- 2 years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- Masters degree or MBA in business operations human resources adult education organizational development instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
