Job Title
Plant 52 Assembler Lead Shift 5Position Overview
Position Objectives:
Monitor and supervise Progressive Assembly to ensure production flows smoothly. The incumbent must be able to work with little supervision and be able to exercise independent judgment.
Essential Duties:

Must have good communication and supervisory skills.
Must lead and manage a group of 40-50 individuals on 1st shift or 10-20 on 3rd shift in one general location.
Must be able to lead and manage all areas within the Progressive Assembly Department. These areas include the following: Hard Surface/Soft Surface POD areas Labeling Hard Surface/Soft Surface packing areas Rip-Saw station Edge-Stainer Station Router Station Recycle Returns Area and supervising LTOs.
Must be able to communicate with associates about Safety Topics and Safety Concerns when needed.
Must ensure that Progressive Assembly runs safely and efficiently.
Must be able to work well with associates.
Communicate problems and major events to the Supervisor/Manager.
Must be able to work with MTO Cutting and Hard Surface Departments concerning shortages as well as work orders needing processed.
Ability to work with a computer and be familiar with necessary screens in GLINK E-Mail system and ASAP.
Must be able to communicate by emails to inner plant teams as well as outside vendors and business managers.
Help other associates when possible.
Must be able to handle confidential information.
Must be able to prioritize routine work for the Progressive Assembly Department.
Perform related duties as assigned by Supervisor and/or manager.
Fill out and complete paperwork for each job ran down the Assembly line for traceability with whom swatched where.
Help gather needed materials and supplies to fill shortages and work orders.
Must ensure all orders are identified for traceability.
Must adhere to a normal work schedule i.e. starting and stopping times.
Must attend job on a regular basis and comply with the Corporate Absenteeism and Tardiness Policy.
Must attend weekly meetings for the department for prioritizing work orders to be processed.
