Job Description

Job Summary:

The Enterprise Manufacturing Applications Manager is responsible for the IT aspects of thedesign implementation delivery and support of enterprise manufacturing applications including Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Quality Management Systems (QMS) Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and related digital platforms. This is a very collaborative role with business operational / engineering areas of multiple Teledyne business units ensuring that technology solutions are aligned with business strategies operational goals and manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategy support maintenance and enhancements for multiple manufacturing-related applications across different Teledyne Business Units.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineering quality supply chain and IT leadership to gather requirements prioritize initiatives manage cost to budget and manage expectations.
  • Provide thought leadership and recommend specific application solutions or projects to solve business challenges improve consistency drive efficiency and/or increase quality.
  • Full oversight for and ideally be hands-on with software installation configuration troubleshooting patching data conversion and other application support activities.
  • Business and systems analysis resulting in documented business processes and requirements that meet multi-disciplined Quality PLM MES and manufacturing requirements.
  • Influence users to follow standard procedures and best practices.
  • Formulate project plans test case/use cases production cutover plans and other items to successfully deliver major enhancements new modules or full implementations.
  • Guide the development of training materials tailored to the specific process and user community.
  • Lead a cross-functional team of application admins developers and external partners to deliver high-quality application services & support and meet internal customer expectations.
  • Monitor system performance troubleshoot and resolve production support issues including escalating to the vendors technical support as needed. Drive root cause analysis and resolution. Ensure high availability and reliability of critical manufacturing systems.
  • Oversee vendor relationships licensing and service-level agreements.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies. Champion digital transformation initiatives that enhance manufacturing agility and efficiency including the use of AI / ML and automation.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • BS in Computer Science Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience is required.
  • Breadth and depth of expertise in manufacturing concepts processes and systems.
  • 5 years of experience in IT applications management with at least 3 years in manufacturing quality or shop floor systems
  • Proven experience implementing and supporting Quality PLM MES and digital manufacturing platforms in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience working with or integrating manufacturing systems with one or more of the following ERP systems: Costpoint Infor XA SAP IFS Microsoft Dynamics AX.
  • The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with experience in quality and manufacturing process optimization using electronic systems and tools in highly regulated environments.
  • Knowledge and experience in Quality and Manufacturing related practices such as Sampling MRB Auditing Inspection Supplier Quality Configuration Management and Work Instructions.
  • Project Management on multiple simultaneous initiatives & implementations
  • Process Reengineering and Optimization
  • Extensive systems analysis design implementation and programming experience

Salary Range:

$120300.00-$160400.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including but not limited to location education/training work experience key skills and type of position.
