Position Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to perform a variety of laundry duties in maintaining the facility in an orderly sanitary condition; and in collecting and laundering of linens garments and washables.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collect soiled linens from throughout the facility sort wash dry and fold the linens.
- Iron linens as necessary.
- Distribute the clean linens among departments in accordance with the routine schedule.
- Wash dry and mend residents personal clothing as directed by their supervisor.
- Observes and follows all infection control and sanitation policies and procedures.
- Assist in transporting laundry containers of soiled linen and clean linen carts.
- Operates commercial and residential washing machines and dryer.
- Keeps accurate records of linen inventory.
- Maintains equipment and laundry areas are clean and keeps areas in a neat orderly and safe manner.
Qualifications:
- Must possess at minimum a High School Education or equivalent (GED).
- Laundry experience preferred but not required as on the job training will be provided.
- Experience in healthcare facility preferred.
- Willing to work beyond normal working hours weekends holidays and/or on other shifts and in other positions when necessary
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to read write and speak the English language sufficiently and comprehensively enough to perform the essential functions of the job.

Salary Range: $19/ hr*
*The salary range is the one that Corona Post Acute reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual salary will depend on several factors (e.g. experience educations qualifications etc.).
