Job Description
Tesoro Group is seeking a Senior Compliance Specialist to join one of our long-term clients team and help compliance efforts with their entire portfolio. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years experience in property management (as an assistant property manager or property manager with compliance experience) knowledge and experience of affordable housing within section 42 income restricted and section 8 properties and compliance. This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).
Salary: $30-$34/hour DOQ. This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).
Schedule: Monday Friday standard daytime hours.
The Compliance Technician is responsible for assisting with administering the sites subsidy program and administrative tasks involved with the day-to-day management of the site and is an important part of the Property Management Team.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the site-based property management program compliance
- Interviews residents and timely processes certifications in accordance with HUD rules and regulations along with policies and procedures
- Accurately enters compliance information into the system.
- Supports property management by professionally administering marketing leasing subsidy administration and the turnover operations
- Prepares all resident files to include all preparatory paperwork.
- Prepares all move-out material for Property Manager.
- Prepares completed move-in packets and maintains a supply of all pertinent materials
- Ensures compliance with state federal and local housing laws.
- Stays abreast of any changes in fair housing and affordable housing compliance requirements.
- Enters marketing information installs resident enters vacate notices prints reports and enters all data into the system.
- Assists with subsidy administration in accordance with HUD rules and regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 2 years of experience in affordable housing property management or compliance.
- Knowledge of Section 42 Section 8 Section 202 RAD HOME & Section 811.
- Knowledge of HUD 4350.3 requirements including EIV.
- Experience with audit preparation tenant eligibility verification and regulatory reporting.
- Knowledge of government subsidy programs.
- Be able to pass a Kari Koskinen background check before employment.
