Job Description
Staff Management Group is seeking a Forklift Driver for our client in Edison NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.
Schedule:
- 1st Shift: 7AM - 4PM
- Plus Overtime
Pay Rate:
- $18 / hour
Job Summary:
The Forklift Driver is responsible for loading and unloading containers transporting materials and putting away products using a sit-down forklift. This role also includes assisting with general warehouse tasks as needed to support daily operations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate a sit-down forklift to move load and unload containers and materials.
- Perform putaway tasks by storing products in designated areas safely and accurately.
- Assist with unloading trucks and staging materials for processing or storage.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
- Follow safety protocols and warehouse procedures at all times.
- Support general warehouse operations by performing additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience operating a sit-down forklift in a warehouse setting.
- Valid forklift certification is required.
- Ability to lift move and organize materials as part of daily responsibilities.
- Willingness to assist with non-forklift tasks such as unloading trucks and general labor.
- Strong awareness of safety practices and attention to detail during equipment use.
