Salary Range: $90000 - 100000/annually DOE plus applicable bonus opportunities and company-provided vehicle

Position Summary:

This exciting Dining Services Director of Operations-In-Training opportunity is meant to allow you to learn and grow further in your Operations career at an established company with over 45 years of experience. As our newest Supervisory-level associate youll experience a custom interactive program that will guide you through hands-on and computer-based training lasting approximately 3 to 6 months. The training program focuses on the following areas while working directly in the field:

  • Director of Operations - Responsible for management of multiple District Managers and accounts in an assigned territory according to policies and procedures and federal/state requirements. Able to perform the job assignments of district managers account managers and all front-line staff as necessary.
  • Recruitment Training & Development -Provides leadership support and guidance to ensure staff meets Dining Services quality standards inventory levels food safety guidelines and customer service expectations. Weekly building tourswith District Managers to assess work quality using QCIs for documentation purposes.
  • Reporting -Maintains accurate income and expenditures supplies food personnel and equipment records. Runs and reviews reports approves payroll issues reviews Employee Warning Notices and assists/participates in the open enrollment process by providing information and collecting applications and waivers as necessary.
  • Communication- Acts as liaison between building District Manager Account Manager Administrators and HCSG staff. Communicates all directives effectively to managers from administrators and HCSG operational leadership. Utilizes and exercises high-level expertise in client relations.
  • Safety -Utilize protective gear in all appropriate functions. Knowledgeable in training safe and proper mixing and cleaning solutions while adhering to all safety precautions. Addresses equipment/cleaning product needs and or malfunctions in a timely fashion. Ensure the established standards safety and quality guidelines are met. Follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures to ensure that a sanitary environment is always achieved. Follow proper reporting isolation and handwashing procedures/techniques. Able to lead training quality control procedures and in-servicing of housekeeping staff.
  • Professionalism -Consistently maintains a professional demeanor and ethical standards consistent with promoting a positive image.
  • Business Development -Regularly markets HCSG services to prospective clients generating net profits.
  • Customer Experience -Positively represents HCSG by following instructions being courteous and cooperative with supervisors co-workers and client staff.
  • Resident Experience -Positive pleasant and tactful interactions with residents staff and facility guests.
  • Travel- Up to 90% of Travel is required for account/facility visits and participation in regional activities.

Qualifications:

  • Two years of direct multi-unit management experience in dining and nutrition services in Skilled Nursing or other healthcare environments and personnelsupervision are required.
  • Extensive relevant work experience (3-5 years) with a proven track record of success at the District levels may be grounds for consideration.
  • Bachelors degree in management or related field preferred.
  • Specialized training in Dining Services management and nutrition preferred (Nutrition RD CDM and/or FPM).
  • Proven track record of driving change and teaching & motivating individuals to develop & implement new ways of thinking and doing business.
  • Ability to process understand and retain high volumes of information pertaining to systems policy regulatory compliance financial reporting and confidential matters.
  • Must be able to complete regulatory compliance courses (sanitation and safety) and identify issues and implement necessary changes.
  • Capable of leading directing and supporting a team in a diverse environment with highly developed interpersonal analytical and communication skills.
  • Must submit to a Motor Vehicle Check and maintain a valid drivers license.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 Vaccination Policies as required by State Local and/or Customers.
  • Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
  • Intermediate or above computer skills with the ability to learn new software programs instituted by HCSG.
  • Willingness to relocate and live in the assigned market.
