Job Description

Clinical Nursing Manager - Womens Health and Labor & Delivery

Position Overview

As the L&D Clinical Nursing Manager you will orchestrate daily operations ensure clinical excellence and foster a culture of patient-centered care while driving quality improvements and maintaining regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of nursing professionals in Labor & Delivery
  • Drive clinical excellence through evidence-based practice implementation
  • Optimize patient flow and resource utilization across the unit
  • Develop and maintain quality metrics and performance improvement initiatives
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and accreditation standards are met
  • Champion patient experience initiatives and maintain high satisfaction scores
  • Manage departmental budget and resource allocation
  • Foster interdisciplinary collaboration and communication
  • Implement staff development and competency programs

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Current RN licensure in Texas or compact state eligibility
  • 3-5 years clinical experience in Labor & Delivery
  • 2 years leadership experience in acute care setting
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification preferred
  • NRP and FHM certifications preferred
  • RNC-OB certification (or obtained within 6 months)
