$145000.00 - $217400.00Purpose Statement: Plexus Corp is seeking a strategic and results-driven Regional Process Engineering Director to lead and scale process engineering excellence across our manufacturing sites in the Americas.
The Regional Process Engineering Director has overall responsibility leadership and coordination of key strategic initiatives between our global organization and the AMER manufacturing sites in the area of Process and Manufacturing engineering defining regional strategy standardizing best in class manufacturing processes and leading the execution of Plexus engineering philosophies with a customer-centric mindset to ensure operational excellence and support to the production of complex and highly regulated products.
This position reports directly to the Sr Director Manufacturing Engineering - Americas.
Key Job Accountabilities:
Develop and execute the process engineering strategy for AMER in alignment with global goals driving standardization and scalability across manufacturing sites.
Serve as the primary point of escalation within the region for all engineering activities to ensure that site region and corporate resources are appropriately leveraged to manage issues identify root cause and deployment of systemic corrective actions.
Build mentor and lead a diverse high performing process engineering and subject matter expert teams. Support talent development succession planning and a strong culture of technical excellence.
Evaluate site process performance based on metrics and data analysis to identify and deploy best practices.
Site and regional support including leading operational reviews and site assessments to identify trends and drive continuous improvement throughout the region.
Strategic coordination to align core engineering processes across the region managing regional capital investments and asset allocation to align with regional corporate and site objectives.
Build collaborative relationships with internal and external customers.
Help us execute the Plexus Best People strategy and achieve our One Plexus manufacturing culture to standardize implement and utilize best practices in our Focus Factory model including equipment sets process materials and techops structure.
Education/Experience Qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related technical field required; Masters degree in Engineering preferred.
10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing and process engineering is required preferably in contract manufacturing or regulated industries (Medical Aerospace Industrial).
5 years of multi-site leadership experience is preferred.
General Knowledge of ISO 9000 AS9100 TL9000 ISO 13485 FDA GMP Quality System Requirements through training or hands on experience is necessary for success in this role.
Good working knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes.
Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and process validation.
Excellent communication stakeholder management and strategic thinking skills.
Other Qualifications:
Experience with automation and smart manufacturing implementation is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Professional office environment with suitable lighting comfortable temperatures and low noise level. May require prolonged periods of sitting at a desk using a computer and other office equipment. Minimal physical activity is generally involved emphasizing the importance of good posture and ergonomic workplace arrangements.
