Job Description
What You Will Do:
Southern Cross is seeking an experienced Warehouse Associate. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and coordinating all warehouse equipment and inventory including receipt and storage of goods organization of the inventory and tools and entering appropriate receipt documentation into computer system; handles miscellaneous errands as requested and keeping warehouse clean and organized..
Main Duties:
- Receive and store incoming shipments in designated warehouse locations
- Organize stack and label inventory for efficient access and tracking
- Manually enter inventory data into spreadsheets with strong attention to detail
- Perform weekly pick-up and drop-off of inventory
- Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse and general maintenance tasks
- Assist where needed to support warehouse operations and team members
- Follow and help enforce company and customer safety policies and procedures
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid and active drivers license
- Ability to complete a background check & drug screen
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word Excel and Outlook)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Skills:
- 1 year of Warehouse experience highly preferred.
- Forklift Certification preferred (or ability to obtain within first 6 months)
Work Status & Shift:
Monday-Friday 7:00AM - 3:30PM w/ some overtime and half days on Saturday
Compensation: $19.00 per hour with a GUARANTEED .50 increase at 90 days and 180 days of employment

Physical Requirements:
Work is performed both indoors and outdoors and the warehouse associate in this position is subject to variable weather conditions that include inclement weather rain extreme heat and humidity with regular exposure to dust & pollen. Prolonged standing bending and kneeling are often necessary. Need to be able to lift or carry up to 50 lbs.
