ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

THE ROLE

The Library Outreach Intern will assist the department with developing department related digital media product and content. In addition the Intern will attend outreach events across the valley take photos and videos during events. Support the Development Manager in daily tasks (e.g. data entry meeting scheduling task-based reminders clerical etc.) and other duties as assigned.

Pay Considerations
The hourly pay for this position is$15 - $19 (based on education level).

Work Schedule
This position is scheduled to work up to 20 hours weekly between Monday and Thursday 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Part-Time/Temporary Position

  • This position is a part time/temporary position and does not include health or medical benefits.
  • Hours for this position will not exceed 935 per calendar year (see weekly hours for this position under work schedule).

IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate would be proficient with various graphic design software as well as a working knowledge of commonly used document processing tools; demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality; have a grasp of social media platforms; and exhibit strong interpersonal communication problem-solving and organizational skills. Familiar or interested in fundraising outreach program creation anddevelopment.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Current college enrollment in any of the following degree programs: Business Communications Journalism Education or a related field
  • Current enrollment with a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester (undergraduate level) or 3 credit hours per semester (graduate level)
  • Recent graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
  • A valid Nevada drivers license
  • Legal right to work in the U.S.
