The Acquisition Innovation Coordinator plays a critical leadership role in advancing innovative acquisition strategies tools and processes across Department of Defense (DoD) programs. This position is responsible for overseeing enterprise-wide business enablers integrating technical and strategic solutions and ensuring alignment with acquisition modernization goals. The role includes oversight of high-priority initiatives coordination with senior stakeholders and execution of process improvements and organizational assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead acquisition innovation initiatives enabling modernization of business processes and tools across multiple programs.
Provide executive-level oversight of key business enablers and identify gaps and requirements for new systems or tools.
Serve as the primary coordinator for integrating innovative acquisition methods and aligning them with DoD policy and mission objectives.
Oversee quality assurance and performance metrics across projects and deliverables.
Manage cross-functional teams and delegate resources appropriately to meet mission-critical objectives.
Facilitate business strategy transformation planning and productivity improvement across diverse acquisition portfolios.
Conduct organizational assessments program audits and evaluations to inform acquisition reform strategies.
Collaborate with client and project managers to ensure seamless communication and execution of deliverables.
Drive adoption of data-driven and agile acquisition practices supporting the integration of business and technical approaches.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in consulting or directly relevant industry roles.
Proven experience managing complex acquisition or business transformation initiatives at the enterprise level.
Demonstrated expertise in business process integration strategic planning and project delivery.
Strong record of client engagement and executive-level coordination.
Experience managing project resources across diverse teams and industry sectors.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Bachelors degree required; Masters degree in Business Public Administration Engineering or related field preferred.
Additional Desired Skills:
Familiarity with AFSTS (Air Force Strategic Transformation Support) task areas.
Knowledge of DoD acquisition lifecycle Agile acquisition principles and digital modernization.
Experience with organizational change management and acquisition policy reform.
