Job Summary:
Director of Operations is a senior-level position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of DCHDs development division. the director of operations ensures smooth and efficient functioning alignment with business goals and maximization of productivity. The director works closely with sections of the development team to establish effective workflows and resource allocation ultimately driving performance improvements.
Essential Functions:
Manages administrative asset management and compliance staff providing guidance and support to ensure departmental objectives are met. Collaborate with senior management to develop strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing program efficiency and achieving organizational goals. Participates in high-level decision-making processes offering insights and recommendations based on thorough analysis and evaluation of program performance. In collaboration with program management develop criteria to establish and identify goals objectives strategies and priorities; assesses budgetary and programmatic needs and analyzes availability and utilization of existing allocated resources. Coordinates performance metrics for the Development Division to align with Agency goals and priorities. Investigates and resolves confidential or sensitive administrative problems complaints and situations at the request of the Deputy Commissioner of Housing and Community Development.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with a bachelors degree in public administration Public Policy Urban Planning Urban Renewal Business Administration or related field.
AND
Experience: Three to Five (3-5) years of progressively responsible experience in operations performance management community development real estate transactions grants administration or accounting.

Background Check

Probation
All persons including current City employees selected for this position must complete a mandatory six-month probation.
