Kennedy Catholic High School is a private Catholic high school located in Burien

Washington. It is the mission of Kennedy Catholic to cultivate a diverse community of

learners who encounter Christ pursue excellence and lead with love.

JOB SUMMARY

To teach various science courses for the first 2.5 months of the 25-26 school year; courses

to include Conceptual Physics Physics and AP Physics. The assignment would begin in

August 2025 and conclude at the end of October.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

Bachelors degree in the specific content area (ex. Physics)

WA State Teaching Certificate or the ability to obtain one

Masters degree preferred

Familiarity with educational technology

Recent classroom experience preferably in a high school setting

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate will possess the skills and abilities to:

Work with students from a variety of cultural backgrounds and learning abilities

Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners

Effectively utilize educational technology to enhance the learning of students

Use data to inform instructional practices

Work collaboratively within the department on curriculum and assessments

Be flexible and resourceful

Be organized and an effective communicator with all members of the school

community

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity internal salary ranges

market data applicants skills and prior relevant experience degrees and

certifications. Salary is dependent upon experience certification and education

according to Kennedy Catholics faculty compensation schedule. For the 2025-2026

school year a teachers salary ranges between $55962 and $106217 annually. For

this long-term substitute position the offered salary will be pro-rated based upon

the number of contracted days.

A comprehensive package of benefits is offered including two medical plan options

dental vision life and accidental death and disability long-term disability pension

403(b) HSA FSA and generous sick leave vacation and holidays. For this long-term

substitute position these benefits are not available due to its temporary nature.

Opportunities to participate/assist with a wide array of co-curricular programs

including athletics arts campus ministry and other clubs and activities for

additional modest stipends.
