As a Regional Product Development Manager (RPDM) at United Rentals you will act as a single point of contact for Fluid Solutions products and services for strategic/key accounts within the Trade area District or Region. You will act as the Fluid Solutions liaison with national account managers government account managers strategic account managers and sales representatives from all Company business units. You will be a technical resource for Fluid Solutions providing training and project support to customers for new and existing product lines while educating other Company business units on products and applications. As an RPDM you will drive incremental profitable revenue for the Fluid Solutions business within the company through lead sharing and trade area cooperation.
What youll do:
Key Account Single Point of Contact 65%
Target and focus on the development of National Account relationships for UR Fluid Solutions division within their book of business. Work with local sales representatives and all business units to drive incremental revenue for these accounts
Liaison with other UR Divisions/Departments to network and promote the Fluid Solutions products and services
In partnership with National Account Managers to manage rate structure and strategies for National Accounts
Accompany sales representatives as subject matter expert on more technically complex sales calls and assist sales representatives in selecting the proper equipment to provide the customer with the most cost effective solution
Product Training: 15%
Develop & conduct Fluid Solutions application training programs for sales team
Mentor BMs and OSRs products and applications
Use Sales Force Automation (SFA) and other tools to provide business intelligence to sales team. Also act as technical resource to sales team. 20%
Work closely with corporate sales/business intelligence provide leads to sales representatives using SFDC Dodge PEC and other information tools. Use data tools to identify large customer projects
Provide weekly/monthly activity reports
Other duties assigned as needed
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of experience and education
Minimum 7 years of technical rental sales experience preferably in the Fluid Solutions or other United Rentals product/services line
Minimum 3 years of sales supervisory experience with ability to effectively train motivate and influence all levels of the sales/management organization
Working knowledge of existing Fluid Solutions products and applications and how they are used in the rental market
Strategic selling and advanced negotiation and customer service skills
Understanding of business accounting principles and budget preparation; business acumen
Engineering/mechanical aptitude: Ability to properly spec quote install and maintain large projects
Skilled communicator-written and verbal
Proficiency with SFDC Dodge PEC or other CRM software; Proficiency with MS Office (specifically Word and Excel)
Possesses the following additional competencies: leadership strategic thinking trade area cooperation and teamwork skills
Up to 60% overnight travel required
