Job Description
Overview
As a Cook at St. Vincent you will support the healing process by preparing meals and menu items for our patients their visitors and their caregivers.
To be successful as a cook you should be able to use various cooking techniques and methods to prepare meals that meet our customers expectations. Ultimately a top-notch cook should be able to handle multiple food orders without compromising on quality. You also understand that cooking for patients requires extra diligence with sanitation protocols.

CHI St Vincent Infirmary is a 600 bed faith-based non-profit acute care facility providing quality health care to patients and communities from all over the State of Arkansas. Our level II trauma center is a regional referral center for cardiology trauma behavioral health cancer care neurosciences and other specialties. Responsibilities
- Prepares menu items according to standard recipes
- Maintains equipment in kitchen to standard
- Maintains kitchen area to state required sanitary standards
- Completes all tasks on duty while adhering to safety standards and policies of the hospital
Qualifications
- Two years Food Service experience required. Cooking experience strongly preferred.
- High School Diploma GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current (within the past 12 months) ServSafe Allergen and Food Handler Certifications. If not currently certified certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
