The role:
SoFi is seeking a seasoned Treasury professional to lead strategic initiatives around balance sheet analytics for SoFi Technologies Inc. and its subsidiaries (both bank and nonbank).
This role will be responsible for quantitative analytics associated with modeling and forecasting SoFis balance sheet including assets and liabilities. The successful candidate will play a critical role in partnering with Business Units Capital Markets and Strategic Finance teams to develop a balance sheet optimization and returns framework that aligns with the banks financial strategy and regulatory requirements.
What youll do:
- Collaborate with the Business Units Capital Markets and Strategic Finance teams to drive strategic projects and lead ALCO initiatives.
- Review and enhance existing internal economic capital valuation methodologies for lending and deposit products.
- Develop and implement a capital returns framework to assess and compare risk-adjusted returns on capital (ROE ROA etc) across products and business lines.
- Partner with FP&A and Business Units to incorporate return metrics into strategic planning and forecasting processes.
- Contribute to capital forecasting to ensure plans are aligned with profitability targets risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
- Develop reporting metrics to monitor financial performance and capital consumption.
- Prepare and present metrics to senior management and the ALCO committee.
What youll need:
- Bachelors degree in Finance Economics Accounting or a related field; Masters degree and/or financial certification such as CFA or FRM designation preferred.
- 10 years of experience working in a Treasury function or a related financial discipline within a banking environment. Focus on capital planning is strongly preferred.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skill set. Experience with valuation methodologies and cash flow modeling.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing economic return metrics and capital optimization strategies.
- Experience with Treasury modeling software such as QRM Empyrean or Intex is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks including Basel III CCAR/DFAST LCR and NSFR.
- Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills with experience managing cross-functional teams.
