Job Description
Position Summary:
New Day Inc. is seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician / Groundskeeper to ensure the upkeep safety and functionality of our facilities and grounds. This hands-on role includes maintenance of lodges offices ranch property and vehiclesperforming tasks such as painting drywall repair landscaping snow removal and general upkeep.
Essential Responsibilities:
Facility Maintenance:
Respond to and complete maintenance work orders promptly
Document and submit completed work to supervisor
Perform repairs and renovation tasks: painting drywall flooring and trim
Maintain fire extinguishers and first aid kits
Keep workspaces and tools organized and safe
Assemble repair and relocate office furniture
Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment and appliances
Perform basic vehicle maintenance (e.g. oil changes refueling)
Groundskeeping & Equipment Operation:
Mow lawns trim trees remove weeds and maintain landscaping
Ensure safe access via sidewalks parking areas and roads
Remove snow and repair fences at Coburn Ranch
Operate riding mowers skid steers snowplows and other equipment
Other:
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor or administration
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience: Previous maintenance experience preferred
Licensing & Certifications:
Must be at least 21 years old (insurance requirement)
Valid Montana drivers license with an insurable driving record
Must maintain current certifications in the following. Training is provided by New Day Inc.:
Non-violent Crisis Intervention (CPI)
CPR and First Aid
Required Skills and Abilities:
Language:
Ability to read and interpret documents and instructions
Respond effectively to inquiries and communicate clearly
Mathematics:
Ability to add subtract multiply divide and understand percentages and graphs
Reasoning:
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
Physical Requirements:
Regular activities include standing walking sitting and talking/hearing
Occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs) climbing kneeling and crawling
Visual requirements include close distance and peripheral vision
Must be able to perform non-injurious physical interventions if needed
Work Environment:
Moderate noise levels
Outdoor work in varied weather conditions
Smoke-free environment
