POSITION: Campus Coordinator of College Success
GRADE LEVEL: High School
LOCATION: Hiring at multiple locations. You can view the current openings at this link. We encourage you to apply even if your preferred position is not listed as we will be posting new roles throughout the year.
SALARY: $51000-$61000 based on aligned years of experience up to 10 years. We also offer a relocation stipend for anyone joining us from 75 miles or more from Denver!
STATUS: Full time year round benefits eligible exempt in-person position (Denver CO)

THE ROLE
The Coordinator of College Success is responsible for supporting the College Success team as it develops and maintains their campus college-going culture and goals. This person also executes their campus college initiatives and related programming in order to ensure DSST Public School students have ample and viable college matriculation options and the knowledge skills and mindsets they need to truly succeed in college.
Internships:
This CCS-I creates and executes the campus internship program which supports ensuring DSST Public School students have ample and viable college matriculation options and the knowledge skills and mindsets they need to truly succeed in college.
Develops and implements (including teaching) college seminars materials events and activities in order to engage/prepare students for the college search and application process. Including but not limited to individual student and family college planning conferences (discuss college list application requirements FAFSA award letter review college/career transition) college campus visits college fairs and family college nights.
Advocates for and supports a caseload of students in college admission and affordability processes.
Advise building of college lists and ultimately submission of applications and financial aid documents
Collaborate with school team to ensure strong and complete applications submitted (i.e. essays letters of recommendation) to colleges for admission to institution as well as to fly-in and college-based summer programs
Maintains strong relationships with liaisons on college campuses and scholarship organizations across the country.
Supports tracking of data (summer program fly-in visit application FAFSA scholarship award letter) trends of senior caseload and from seminar.
Maintains college counseling best practices as defined by NACAC.
Assists in high school related functions as needed.
Internships:
Manages campus internship program which includes:
Defining and communicating internship vision policies and procedures to students families staff and internship partners.
Designing and teaching a trimester-long internship program (including a formal course offering) that prepares students with skills necessary for student success in internship and culminates in a final project or showcase.
Creating and implementing systems to ensure 100% of DSST juniors participate in an off-campus internship.
Securing and supporting internship opportunities for 100 students that align to their intended majors and/or career interests during the school year and summer.
Developing and maintaining strong relationships between 20-40 internship partners and mentors.
Tracks assesses and shares out data and trends of senior caseload.
Maintains college counseling best practices as defined by NACAC.
Assists in high school related functions (advisory duties) as needed including instruction and cultural support.
Additional duties as assigned such as supporting student recruitment running a small group advisory class after school tutoring etc. See many of our possible duties here.

Qualifications:
Minimum: Bachelors Degree in any field. At least 2 years of experience in a 6th-12th grade setting (any position) OR 2 years of experience in higher education (admissions trio financial aid etc.).
Ideal:
Proven commitment to and experience with serving students of color students with disabilities and/or multilingual students
Spanish language proficiency
Previous college counseling/advising experience
Previous teaching experience

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
