Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan direct and coordinate mill processing activities to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Manage the coordination and overall integration of technical activities in engineering projects. Monitor performance results to plan and recommend course correction.
- Evaluate and update standard operating procedures work instructions and JSA and QMS documents.
- Collaborate with production maintenance and quality assurance teams to resolve operational challenges. Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules for machinery and infrastructure.
- Direct review and approve projects. Optimize the lifespan of consumables and implement cost reduction strategies. Organize and promote short medium and long-term projects to enhance productivity.
- Ensure projects are completed on time within budget and in compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Prepare detailed project reports and present progress updates to senior management.
- Prepare budgets bids and contracts; introduce new technology; and develop manuals and training materials.
- Ensure engineering processes meet quality standards and production requirements.
- Analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency cost and quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing and quality issues.
Qualifications / Competencies
- Education:
- Bachelors degree in the field of Mechanical Engineering
- Years of Experience:
- 5 years experience required
