Job Description
Job Title:Director of Multilingual Learning
Summary:
The Director of Multilingual Learning is responsible for the development implementation and evaluation of all EL programs and services in the school district. This includes providing leadership and support to teachers and staff developing and implementing EL curriculum and working with parents and community members to ensure that all EL students have access to a high-quality education.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and support to EL teachers and staff
- Develop and implement EL curriculum
- Work with parents and community members to ensure that all EL students have access to a high-quality education
- Monitor EL student progress and provide interventions as needed
- Oversee the budget for EL programs and services
- Administer state and federal EL assessments
- Collect and analyze data to inform EL program improvement
- Stay up-to-date on best practices in EL education
- Represent the school district at professional conferences and meetings
- Oversee WIDA testing
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in EL education
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
