Mission Systems is looking for an Associate Engineer to be part of our Supplier Quality team supporting the Propulsion Business located onsite in Fairfield CA. This Associate Engineer will provide supplier quality support for both manufacturing of engineered item and commodity materials supporting Mission position is an exciting opportunity with room for career growth opportunities.

Candidates must have excellent communication organizational and time management skills and an overall strong quality focus. They must be able to work within cross-functional teams including Program Management and Subcontracts Management to meet and improve upon program established quality and delivery goals.

What You Will Do

• Improve supplier quality performance by analyzing performance data identifying opportunities for improvement.

• Respond to supplied material defect occurrences and verification of supplied material defect claims with goal of proactive reduction and prevention

• Participate in cross-functional teams in pursuit of performance improvements aligned to department and organizational goals

• Preventing/Minimizing business impact from supplied material defects; supplier quality risk mitigation

• Support the submittal and review of supplier corrective action requests

• Engage suppliers for quality improvements including on-site supplier engagements and process walks.

• Develop solutions to problems of unusual complexity which require a high degree of ingenuity creativity and innovation

• Provide project management support to projects and processes

• Develop independent judgment methods techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results

• Travel up to 20%

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years prior relevant experience

Qualifications We Prefer

• Solid interpersonal skills - ability to communicate and influence at all levels within an organization

• Solid presentation skills - able to analyze prepare and deliver presentations to leadership

• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office programs (Excel Word PowerPoint)

The salary range for this role is 62000 USD - 118000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
