Plateau is seeking a senior safety specialist who is experienced in interpreting and handling Defense Safety and Occupational Health initiatives and mandates. If youre experienced with Defense Systems of Records for Safety and Occupational Heath played senior roles in safety process improvement program administration and training within a military or civilian context this position offers a meaningful opportunity to support our clients mission readiness and risk mitigation strategies.
At Plateau you will play the role of a subject matter expert and sales strategist responsible for promoting safety and compliance software solutions to clients in the defense industry. This hybrid role combines consultative selling with technical acumen ensuring that the tools aligns with client safety requirements agency mandates and operational needs. This role is critical to ensuring that the customers safety programs are data-driven compliant and effective.
General Responsibilities:
- Build long-term relationships with current safety domain customers stakeholders operations leaders and procurement teams.
- Engage prospective clients to understand their safety challenges and present relevant software solutions.
- Support pre-sales pilots or proof-of-concept deployments to demonstrate product value. Deliver customized product demonstrations tailored to specific industries and use cases.
- Act as a bridge between the clients EHS team and the product team to ensure the solution addresses key safety pain points.
- Translate safety compliance needs (e.g. OSHA ISO 45001 ANSI standards) into software feature recommendations and configurations.
- Maintain client engagement throughout the sales cycle and transition to customer success or onboarding teams post-sale.
- Track client requirements and feedback to inform future product enhancements. Stay updated on industry safety trends competitor software tools and emerging regulatory requirements.
- Work with marketing to tailor messaging case studies and content for target verticals. Assist in drafting proposals RFIs/RFPs and pricing strategies for enterprise clients.
- U.S. Citizenship
- Bachelors degree or equivalent required
- Active Security Clearance
- At least 15 years of Safety program governance administration and/or classroom/field training experience
