The Controller will support the ongoing development implementation automation and management of sound financial reporting policies and procedures related to accounting. This role will oversee the work of the accounting team.
Job Duties:
Responsible for the overall performance training and development of the accounting team.
Lead cross functional collaboration with different operational groups to provide strategic financial and accounting related guidance to help overall outcome for business operations.
Lead ASC 606 revenue recognition work for monthly close.
Safeguard assets and assure accurate and timely recording of all transactions by developing and ensuring compliance with all internal control processes.
Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable cash management general accounting and cost accounting.
Develop improve and issue timely and accurate monthly financial statements to include managing the close process account reconciliations and GL analysis.
Develop and ensure compliance with all internal control processes.
Develop and provide financial communications for management as needed or requested.
Lead and manage the audit with our outside audit firm.
Champion the use of Sage Intacct by the accounting team.
Develop and engage with accounting team and provide open and ongoing communication by way of staff meetings one-on-one meetings and other methods.
Implement new processes to streamline and improve business flows.
Research and implement new technical accounting pronouncements.
Partner with FP&A and Transformation teams on forecasting and budgeting processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university required.
Ten or more years of related experience including 3 years as a controller.
CPA preferred
Strong technical accounting knowledge.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
