Job Description
Summary:
Primary responsibility is teaching Family & Consumer Science at themiddle school level.
Qualifications:
Applicants must hold or be eligible for ateaching license with a CTE-Family & Consumer Science Educationendorsement or be eligible for a Technical Professional License.
Individuals with no prior teaching experience who do not hold a Virginia teaching license will be considered if the following requirements for a Technical Professional teaching license have been met:
- Evidence of at least 2 years of successful full-time occupational experience or the equivalent experience within the past 5 years in the teaching specialty
- Completion of anfamily and consumer sciences certificate or associate degree program from a regionally accredited institution
- Completion of professional studies requirements (human development and learning: 3 semester hours; curriculum and instructional in career and technical education: 3 semester hours; and applications of instructional technology or classroom and behavior management: 3 semester hours
Pay Rate:
Teacher Salary Scale (credit is based on years of full-time experience in a related position)
Contract:
Full time / 10 months / 200 days
Start Date:
This position is for the2025-2026 school year
