POSITION SUMMARY:
Maintenance Support Manager leads the Maintenance Planningfunction overseeing the planning of maintenance activities and supportingmaintenance production. This role ensures regulatory compliance supportsefficient aircraft maintenance execution and manages a team of planners tocreate detailed work packages and action cards aligned with aircraft-specificmaintenance programs. The Maintenance Support Manager has strong technicalknowledge hands-on planning experience and a current A&P certification.
EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1.Overseeand manage the Maintenance Planning team ensuring accurate and timely planningof all maintenance activities for aircraft undergoing completions andmaintenance.
2.Ensureproper development and issuance of work packages including action cards inaccordance with approved maintenance programs and customer requirements.
3.Coordinatewith Production Engineering Materials and Quality departments to alignmaintenance plans schedules and material availability.
4.Reviewand interpret Airworthiness Directives Service Bulletins and regulatorydocuments to ensure compliance and proper planning.
5.Supportthe development of maintenance schedules and check flow to optimize downtimeand resource allocation.
6.Trackand manage maintenance timelines and requirements for each aircraft programincluding storage preservation and recurring tasks.
7.Collaboratewith Materials to ensure required parts are available in alignment with plannedwork support part forecasting and procurement.
8.Ensureproper documentation organization and achieving of all maintenance planningrecords and packages.
9.Providetechnical oversight and mentorship to the planning staff fosteringaccountability performance and continuous improvement.
10.Supportreporting and analysis of planned vs. actual performance metrics and drivecorrective actions as needed.
11.Ensureplanning adheres to FAA regulations and Repair Station procedures.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION EXPERIENCE LICENSES ETC:
1.ValidFAA A&P license (required).
2.5 yearsof experience in aircraft maintenance planning or program management; priorleadership experience preferred.
3.Familiaritywith Airbus and Boeing platforms and completion center environments highlydesired.
4.Experiencewith planning software and ERP/MRP systems.
5.Familiaritywith civil aviation regulatory requirements (FAA EASA etc.).
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1.Strongleadership organizational and team-building skills.
2.Abilityto work effectively in a deadline-driven cross-functional environment.
3.Detail-orientedwith the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
4.Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills.
5.Proficientin Microsoft Office Suite and project scheduling tools (MS Project preferred).
6.Understandingof maintenance manuals IPCs engineering drawings and other technical data.
7.Knowledgeof lean practices and continuous improvement is a plus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The office building where this position works is a typical officeenvironment with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmentalissues in the immediate vicinity of the workstation. The employee in thisposition will experience occasional outdoor exposure to heat cold andenvironmental elements when called upon to locate personnel working inside oroutside of a Hangar.
