Accountant is responsible for managing and maintaining a companys financial records ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations and providing financial analysis to support business decisions. Their duties include preparing financial statements managing taxes conducting audits and analyzing data.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Record Keeping:
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records including general ledgers accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Financial Statement Preparation:
Preparing balance sheets income statements and other financial reports.
Tax Compliance:
Ensuring compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations including filing tax returns and managing tax audits.
Financial Analysis:
Analyzing financial data to identify trends assess performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
Auditing:
Conducting internal and external audits to verify the accuracy of financial records and identify potential risks.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assisting with the development and management of budgets and financial forecasts.
Payroll Processing:
Managing employee payroll including calculating wages deductions and taxes.
Advisory Role:
Providing financial advice and guidance to management on various financial matters.
Process Improvement:
Identifying and implementing improvements to accounting processes and systems.
