The role
We have an exciting new role for a Category Lead - Food and Beverage to join our team to join our team. This role is for a 12 month Max Term Contract. This role will play a key part in achieving our overarching procurement strategy. This role will work on wide ranging procurement activity with key suppliers across our food and beverage categories. Helping the Crown Group achieve the best commercial outcomes for the business. You will be responsible for
- Driving strategic sourcing events with the key focus on optimising cost quality delivery & technology standards to the business.
- Overseeing the day-to-day sourcing of new services and special sourcing to ensure they are in alignment with the overall category strategy.
- Visiting business units regularly to gain a better understanding of product and service offering needs and take action on issues presented providing strategic procurement advice to maximise commercial outcomes.
- Providing leadership and innovation from a sourcing perspective towards environmental management and sustainability programs.
- Reviewing supplier offerings for innovative products to reduce costs.
About You
This role is ideal for an experienced procurement lead who has exposure working on large scale contracts across food or beverage. Ideally you will have experience working in a hospitality enviornment and worked with the major food and drink suppliers. You will bring a high degree of enthusiasm to help deliver on the procurement strategy;
- Degree in a Business/ Commerce/ discipline highly regarded.
- Experience in Contract Preparation and Sourcing & Tendering.
- Highly skilled in influencing and negotiation both internally and externally.
- Well-developed communication and presentations skills able to influence at all levels internally and externally.
- A track record in identifying and delivering sustained cost reduction opportunities. Qualifications
