Reporting to the Manager or designate and within the context of a multi-disciplinary plan within the school setting for the child and family provides intervention in relation to occupational performance (self-care productivity and leisure) to support educational outcomes. May provide work direction and/or training to Physical Medicine Assistants Education Assistants Teachers and other caregivers.
Travel may be a requirement of this position. Transportation arrangements must meet the operational requirements of the Vancouver Island Health Authority in accordance with the service assignment and may require the use of a personal vehicle.
Graduation from a recognized university program in Occupational Therapy. Current licensure in a practicing category with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC as an Occupational Therapist. Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT). Minimum one (1) year of experience in pediatric occupational therapy or an equivalent combination of education training and experience. Valid BC Drivers License.
