In this role the Quality Assurance Engineer / Technician will assist in the implementation the company QA program at a production facility in Kennewick WA (around 140 employees). Alleima Special Metals (ASM) in Kennewick specializes in producing the high precision titanium tube products for very demanding markets like Aerospace and Medical.
In this role you will report to the Quality Assurance Manager. This includes maintaining and improving ASMs Quality Management Systems to meet industry standards such as ISO 9001 AS9100 and NQA-1 and to ensure customer specifications are satisfactorily met. The position has total freedom to act on issues concerning product quality and employee safety and stop work and hold product as needed.
Your Role
- Shares knowledge and provides guidance within the team.
- Supports and participates in root-cause-analysis and problem-solving within the unit (or cross functional).
- Drives and/or participates in projects related to quality.
- Supports the organization with technical competence in specific area.
- Ensure that quality assurance routines and processes are in place at own unit.
- Contributes in developing the quality strategy
- Create a quality culture by developing awareness within own organization
- Develop review and improve methods tools and processes.
- Define and share best practice within own function and identify gaps and opportunities.
- Build networks and guide/coach individuals and groups to improve capabilities within Quality.
About You
We are looking for someone with a B.S./BA degree in Quality or Engineering Bachelors degree or equivalent with work experience. Typically 0 to 3 years of experience. Knowledge of Aerospace industry and standards Excellent communication and presentation skills is preferred. Strong critical thinking analytical and problem-solving skills.
What you can expect from us
The salary range for this position is $29.00 to 36.00 per hour based on experience and education level and an annual with a 5% annual bonus and annual merit eligibility.
