Job Description

Royal Sydney one of Australias premier private members clubs is renowned as a leading social and sporting institution. With world-class facilities including cafes a club bar dining room accommodation and multiple function rooms the Club is recognized nationally and internationally for its excellence.

The Role:

Reporting to the Finance Manager you will be responsible for a variety of general accounting duties and administrative tasks to ensure the efficient and smooth operation of the clubs daily financial activities within the Finance team.

This is a full-time role requiring availability to work Mondays to Fridays between 9am-5pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle member account queries via phone and email with professionalism.
  • Process payments refunds and activity charges to member accounts accurately.
  • Support account reconciliation direct debits invoicing and internal charging.
  • Assist with accounts receivable managing petty cash and club expenses.
  • Contribute to month-end tasks including journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Manage digital and physical financial records and filing systems.
  • Perform data entry and maintain accuracy in accounting systems (Greentree).
  • Provide admin support and back-up for the finance team as neededincluding the Accounts Payable function.

Key requirements:

  • Accounting and Administration support experience or may suit a recently qualified accounting graduate.
  • Excellent communication interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with accounting software and bookkeeping procedures.
  • Organised proactive and able to work both independently and in a team.
  • Professional attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
