Job Description
Talan Consulting is working in partnership with a leading global investment bank to recruit an experienced SD-WAN Network Engineer for a major WAN transformation programme. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in the deployment of a Fortinet-based SD-WAN solution across over 30 global sites.
As part of the infrastructure team you will be instrumental in the rollout and integration of a new SD-WAN platform. The role involves close collaboration with global engineering teams local IT support and third-party providers to deliver a secure high-performing and future-ready network.

Qualifications :
Essential Experience & Skills:
Proven experience delivering Fortinet SD-WAN solutions in enterprise environments.
Deep understanding of traditional WAN technologies (e.g. MPLS leased lines) and their integration with SD-WAN.
Strong knowledge of routing protocols (BGP OSPF) IP addressing schemes and network segmentation practices.
Experience operating within enterprise-scale security-conscious environments with rigorous change control processes.
Ability to work effectively both independently and in globally distributed teams.
Excellent documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
Desirable Experience:
Prior exposure to legacy WAN optimisation tools such as Ipanema.
Familiarity with regulated environments (e.g. finance healthcare).
Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools (e.g. FortiManager SolarWinds PRTG).
Industry certifications such as NSE4 CCNP JNCIS.
ITIL knowledge and experience working within ITIL-aligned environments.
