Position Type: Auxiliary As-and-When Required (until December 31 2025)

Salary Range: $23.51 $29.38 hourly 8% vacation pay. Placement within the range is typically between the minimum and midpoint and based on qualifications and experience subject matter expertise and internal equity with consideration for how the candidate is developing meets or exceeds the roles requirements.

Job Summary
Employees of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia (Assembly) provide professional non-partisan services to support the democratic institution of Parliament and its members through procedural advice administrative support and information services. The Assembly is an autonomous employer separate from the administrative framework of B.C. government ministries and agencies.
The Precinct Services department is seeking an organized dependable and service-oriented individual for the auxiliary as-and-when position of Server.
Reporting to the General Manager Parliamentary Dining Room the Server is responsible for providing food and beverage service to guests as well as hosting and cashier duties to ensure guests are welcomed and fine dining standards are met. As a member of the food services team this position will also provide service in other settings within the Legislative Buildings including meeting rooms and the Parliamentary Grab n Go (PGNG) Kiosk.
The Parliamentary Dining Room is open Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 3:00pm.
The Server will be required to work flexible hours. Work hours can extend beyond the above-mentioned hours to provide service for special events.
